At Brushstrokes Art Schools we provide a full range of art classes for people who wish to explore their creative potential, learn new skills, develop visual awareness and deepen their understanding of art processes and techniques through various media such as oils, acrylics, water-colour, pastels and all the drawing media.
With tuition given on an individual basis and related to each person's own abilities in their chosen medium, students will be encouraged to develop their awareness and sensitivity to light, tone, colour and texture, exposing them to the technical knowledge required to complete a painting using a wide variety of subject matter of their choosing, including still-life, landscapes, figurative etc., leading to an increased observational skill and confidence in their approach to, and use of drawing and painting applications.
It is such a wonderful thrill to engage with any of the mediums and create almost magically something from nothing; to start with a blank canvas or paper and finish up with a completed drawing or painting. Drawing and painting opens up a whole new world, one full of colour, excitement and drama. Not alone will you end up with finished artworks to display on your own walls but pieces that you can gift to others or maybe even sell. It is also a wonderful way to reduce stress and improve your general well-being and personal development.
Our art classes cater for all levels from beginner to advanced abilities. Our teachers are all professional artists with many years of teaching experience, thus giving them a wealth of knowledge to help you unlock your creative gift and learn successfully.
Our studios are bright and comfortable with background music to relax and inspire you. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided within the class. We also have an art supply and framing shop in the school where you can purchase any materials required.
Timetable for Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Classes in Ongar Village.
Mornings: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 10.15am - 1.00pm, €280.00 per term
Afternoons: Saturday 2.00pm - 4.30pm, €260.00 per term
Evenings: Mon, Tues 7.00pm - 9.45pm, €280.00 per term
A term is one class per week for 10 weeks.
Please note: Our art classes run on a continuous basis throughout the year, and you can join at any time once we have a vacancy in the class of your choice.
